User research Summary

I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary group identified through research was students who don’t know and don’t have time to cook.

This user group confirmed initial assumptions about Yoko Fresh customers, but research also revealed that time was not the only factor limiting users from cooking home. Other user problems included find ideas, eat healthy, go to groceries or don’t have enough money to go to the restaurant.

Paper Wireframe

Take the time to draft iterations of each screen screen of the app on paper ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes would be well suited to address user pain points.

The low-fidelity prototype connected the primary user flow of building and ordering box, so the prototype could be used in a usability study with users.

Yoko's heart and soul; display all possible recipes for users and essential information for users to read. I wanted to create a clear area to teach the user the recipes
